Online Frequency Estimation on a Building-like Structure Using a Nonlinear Flexible Dynamic Vibration Absorber

The online frequency estimation of forced harmonic vibrations on a building-like structure, using nonlinear flexible vibration absorber in cantilever beam configuration, is addressed this article. Algebraic formulae to compute the excitation vibrating mechanical system solely available measurement signals position, velocity, or acceleration are presented. Fast algebraic can, thus, be implemented tune semi-active dynamic obtain high attenuation level undesirable affecting main system. A can tuned for application where variations expected. Adaptive absorption suppression operational scenarios with variable then performed.
